Everyone knows Nashville Tennessee - Music City, the home of country music from before there was any such thing as country music. But it's also the home of one of the United States' great orchestras. The Nashville Symphony is certainly one of the most prolific and adventurous recording orchestras in the country. It's led by Music Director, and six times Grammy winner, Giancarlo Guerrero. Giancarlo Guerrero is in New Zealand as guest conductor of the NZSO Youth Orchestra and he talks to Simon Morris about youth orchestras, the importance of contemporary composers - and performing George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with banjo virtuoso Béla Fleck.
