The Maori Party and Mana have joined forces to try to win back the Maori seats from the Labour Party and the battle for the Māori seats has developed into a full blown assault and a move by local Waitangi iwi is underway to relocate the official Waitangi Day commemorations from Te Tii Marae to another venue.
