One of New Zealand's leading secondary schools, Auckland Grammar, has a te reo Maori teacher since it was first established in 1869 and an emergency housing development is being built at Kokohinau Marae in the Bay of Plenty to house families displaced by the Edgecumbe floods and Winston Peters was to get rid of the Maori seat.
