The drip feed continues of what he was like as a boss, what he may have said, that his mea culpa revelations may have been selective. Auckland Council this year had to pull back on banning the scattering of loved ones' ashes and on making people with urns of ashes consult with Wahi Tapu Maori Kimiti (Maori committees overseeing sacred areas) and pay fees. Now in Christchurch a draft bylaw that would allow ashes to be scattered in parks and reserves or buried in public gardens may be changed after objections from local iwi.
