Labour has come to the party for Phil Goff at last. A regional fuel tax for Auckland to fund trams, light rail, if the council in Auckland wants it.
From the CBD out to Westgate along the North-Western Motorway and out to the Airport, down Dominion Road, joining the South-Western Motorway. Aucklanders could be paying the tax by February. Matt Lowrie from the Greater Auckland blog says it's about time.
