The State of our Communities Report from the Salvation Army was delivered to Parliament today.
People in some of the country's low-income communities feel unnoticed and neglected in their struggles with employment, crime and their personal safety, finding a home to live in, and securing futures for their children.
Three suburbs were looked at: Linwood, Papakura and Porirua.
The Panel talks to Alan Johnson, one of the Salvation Army's report writers.
