New research has for the first time revealed the challenges and advantages of New Zealand's largest pay increase for women. AUT's Katherine Ravenswood was the lead researcher and explains the way some employers have got around keeping their wage bills down, to the detriment of low paid workers. Researchers from the University of Otago have interviewed thirty-three 11 to 13 year-olds about junk food advertising. The upshot is - the children want it banned. The kids in the study say they bought chocolate, lollies, fizzy drinks and potato chips, despite knowing that they're considered unhealthy. The Children's Commissioner Andrew Becroft talks about the pressure young people are under and how we need to listen to them more.
