The Panel with Victoria Stewart and Raybon Kan (Part 2)
Air New Zealand has changed its policy, allowing all staff to show tattoos - even those in uniform - at work. From September all new and existing workers will be able to have ta moko and non-offensive tattoos visible. The Panellists tell us whether they support the policy, and if they have any tattoos. If you have a tattoo…what made you get one? Free the nipple! Campaigners may be close to doing so. For years Facebook has been banning any shots of female nipples - removing many posts on facebook and Instagram that violate the rule. Male nipples are not banned. But now it's considering relaxing the policy, meeting with anticensorship activists to review its guidelines. The panellists tell us what they think of the move. October 12 is the date for local body elections, so it might well be a time to start thinking about how you might vote. But if we were to take Auckland as an example, we are just really unenthused about it. Just 25 percent of eligible Aucklanders voted in the 2016 local body elections. We ask Jean Drage, a reseacher and teacher of local government and politics, why they're important. There's been a lot of debate over the past week about speeding. It comes after new evidence from NZTA come out that speed limits are too high for the conditions on most of our roads. Some say lowering limits would hurt the economy others believe it is the only way to reduce deaths. We look at some of the competing arguments with the panellists.
