Air New Zealand announced today that it's forecasting a loss for the 2020 financial year due to the Covid-19 lockdown, and the resulting fall in revenue.
It is in the process of making about a third, or 4000, jobs redundant and has already announced significant losses of cabin crew, pilots, engineers, and ground staff.
The national carrier said in a statement to the stock exchange that it expects the airline to be smaller than it was pre Covid-19 for "some time".
