Nic Low is an author and artist of Ngai Tahu and European descent. Born in Christchurch, he now divides his time between Melbourne and a bush retreat near Castlemaine.
Karen Goa was born and raised in Canada, before swapping a hospital pharmacist’s white coat in flat and frozen Saskatchewan for a writing and editing career in New Zealand.
Elizabeth Smither is a librarian, writer, Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit and New Zealand's first female Poet Laureate.
