Brother Robert - Growing Up With Robert Johnson - Prersdton Lauterbach Photo: Supplied
Episode 207 features an interview with American blues historian Preston Lauterbach talking about the short musical life of Blues musician Robert Johnson who despite dying in 1938 at the age of 27 only ever recorded a small batch of songs that went on to sell millions and create an unparalleled musical legacy. The book written in conjunction with Johnson’s step sister Anye Anderson (aged 94) called ‘Brother Robert – Growing up with Robert Johnson’ does much to deflect much of the myth surrounding Johnson’s life and remarkable discography
