An Air New Zealand Flight from Auckland to Dunedin has been forced to divert after an incident involving a "disruptive passenger".
Chief operational integrity and safety officer David Morgan said in a statement incidents like this were distressing for customers.
"We have a zero tolerance policy for any disruptive behaviour onboard our aircraft."
The aircraft was met by police in Wellington before continuing to Dunedin.
