The death of a man in Temuka this afternoon has been referred to the coroner.
The Fire Service was called to the man's property after reports of a strong smelling gas coming from it.
Firefighters wearing breathing equipment entered a caravan at the address and found the body of a 47-year-old man.
His name is being withheld until his family are notified of his death.
