Police are on the hunt for a man who sparked an armed offenders callout in Napier yesterday.
Police described him as a 49-year-old European.
Armed officers used tear-gas at a Hislop Avenue property to force the man to come out, but a search of the house afterwards failed to find him.
They had been called to what they said was a domestic incident where there was a suggestion firearms were involved.
Police said a number of guns were found nearby.
