The decomposed body of 78-year-old man has been found in an apartment in central Wellington.
A police spokesperson said he was found yesterday during an assessment of the building in Mulgrave Street in Thorndon following a complaint by another resident.
They said the man probably died in early January, and his death was not being treated as suspicious.
He had not yet been identified.
