The New Zealand swimmer Lauren Boyle has finished fourth in the 200 metres freestyle final on the opening day at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games.
Boyle qualified third fastest, but was just pipped for the bronze medal.
Her next race is on Saturday night in her favoured 800 metre event.
Boyle says she's reasonably happy with the result as she wasn't ranked anywhere near a medal.
She says it's a good start for her programme and is happy she showed some good speed.
