The New Zealand track and field star Valerie Adams has no plans to slow down after winning her 54th straight international shot put competition.
A below-par 19.88-metre throw was more than enough for Adams to secure her third consecutive Commonwealth Games gold medal at Glasgow's Hampden Park.
The 29-year-old says she's still as motivated as ever to keep representing New Zealand for as long as she can.
Adams joins fellow New Zealand shot-putter Valerie Young as the only other woman to have won an individual event at three straight Commonwealth Games.
