Auckland Transport is encouraging people to use buses and ferries over the Easter holiday, as all trains are cancelled due to rail upgrades.
Replacement bus services will be available with a special timetable over the weekend, except Friday, so work can be carried out on tracks in preparation for electric trains.
There will be no NiteRider service on Friday.
Auckland Transport said ferries would not be operating for West Harbour, Pine Harbour, Gulf Harbour, Hobsonville and Beach Haven during the public holidays.
People heading to the Warriors' league game on Easter Monday can catch a rail replacement bus to Penrose and walk to the stadium, it said.
Road closures
The New Zealand Transport Agency is warning of road closures at the Neilson Street southbound on-ramp to the south-western motorway and Great North Road at Waterview.
Traffic could be heavy at the Greenlane intercharge on the southern motorway because of the Easter Show.
