Three assaults in the Tauranga area overnight are under investigation by police.
In the first incident: a man was found unconscious by the road on State Highway 29 in the Kaimai Ranges.
He was treated in hospital and later discharged.
In the second incident: a pizza delivery worker was assaulted in the street by two men in the suburb of Maungatapu.
He received minor injuries.
In the third incident: three men had their car stolen after the driver was assaulted by a man and a woman in a central city carpark.
A passing police patrol signalled the vehicle to stop, but it sped away and lost control at a roundabout on 14th Avenue.
The man and woman were taken to hospital. They are expected to face a variety of charges.
Police said the three incidents are not related.
