A tour operator says he is confident visitors will still find plenty to see in Christchurch's central city on a rebuild-focused tour, despite the apparent lack of activity in the former red zone.
Red Bus on Wednesday launched The Christchurch Rebuild Tour, replacing the Red Buses Red Zone Tour which gave its last tour on 30 June when most of the danger zone was reduced.
Red Bus chief executive Paul McNoe says while it is fairly quiet at the moment, visitors and locals want to see how the area is developing.
Mr McNoe says the tour has been extended beyond the central business district to include sites where work is expected to start on major rebuild projects such as the justice precinct and convention centre.
