Overnight flooding in Northland and central, west and south Auckland kept the Fire Service busy on Saturday night.
Up to 20 fire trucks were involved in pumping out dozens of properties in Auckland. No householders had to be evacuated.
MetService said many areas in Northland and Auckland received up to 40mm of rain in three hours overnight.
