A man whose body was found near D'Urville Island on Thursday afternoon has been named.
He was Donald Alastair MacKay, 82, who live aboard his yacht Nokomis in the Nelson-Marlborough area.
Mr MacKay was seen in a dinghy cleaning the hull of his yacht on Thursday afternoon.
Some time later the dinghy was seen adrift with no one onboard and members of the public found Mr MacKay's body floating nearby.
Police say his death does not appear to be suspicious.
