A 58-year old man is dead after a fertiliser spreader overturned in Southland.
Emergency services were called to a farm property at The Key, about 20km east of Te Anau, just after midday.
A police spokesperson said the man was a local contractor and his name would not be released until next of kin had been notified.
Worksafe New Zealand is investigating, together with the Police Serious Crash Unit.
Police will also investigate on behalf of the coroner.
