A Dunedin man has been arrested after sparking an Armed Offenders Squad callout on Wednesday morning.
Police were called to domestic dispute between the 22-year-old man and a woman at a house in Stevenson Road in the South Dunedin suburb of Lower Concord just before 11am.
They cordoned off several blocks around the house and sent in the AOS because the man had access to guns.
Police said the woman took her baby and left the house and they are safe.
They said the man is in custody and likely to be charged with threatening behaviour.
