The police in Christchurch have arrested a man they say has known links to the Head Hunters' gang.
Officers made two arrests this morning in an operation targeting gangs across Canterbury, in what they describe as an ongoing effort to disrupt the drugs trade in the region.
A spokesperson says they found two unsecured and loaded firearms, methamphetamine, cash and a taser at a property in Avondale.
A 31 year old man and a 25 year old woman are due to appear in the Christchurch district court this afternoon.
