New Zealand chocolatiers are joining a global movement to help fight Ebola in West Africa.
Two major cocoa-producing nations, Ghana and the Ivory Coast, have not yet been affected by Ebola.
But if the disease spreads from their infected neighbours - Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone - the cocoa industry could be in danger.
The World Cocoa Foundation, which is made up of 115 chocolate companies globally, is fund-raising to combat the disease.
Whittaker's spokesperson Holly Whittaker said all the company's cocoa comes from Ghana and it was concerned for its suppliers and friends there.
Cadbury spokesperson Stephanie Saliba said they were monitoring the situation and have a contingency plan if supply is disrupted.
The BBC reported that the death toll from the outbreak was now more than 4,400.
