The man charged with the double murder of two Ashburton Work and Income workers is likely to face trial after a callover appearance scheduled for next week was adjourned until next year.
Russell John Tully is charged with the murder of Peggy Noble and Leigh Cleveland in Ashburton on 1 September this year and the attempted murders of Lindy Curtis and Kim Elizabeth Adams.
Mr Tully also faces two charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, one charge of theft and one of setting traps.
He was due to reappear in the High Court in Christchurch next week on a callover, but this afternoon the court confirmed that the matter has been adjourned for a trial callover on 10 February.
