The man charged with the murder of Auckland woman Blesilda Gotingco now faces an additional charge of sexual violation.
The 27-year-old man has name suppression and was excused from appearing at the High Court in Auckland today where his case was called.
Mrs Gotingco, known as Blessie, went missing on her way home from work at Tower Insurance in central Auckland on 24 May.
She never arrived at her Birkdale home on the North Shore and her body was found two days later in a cemetery.
Today, Crown prosecutor Kieran Raftery was allowed to add the sexual violation charge to the case.
The accused man will stand trial in March next year.
