One of the men arrested in the police raids on the Head Hunters gang and associates has been declined bail but can now be named.
Thomas Gordon Edwardson appeared today in the Auckland District Court, where Judge Christopher Field declined bail.
Mr Edwardson, one of 10 people arrested in the raids, faces 16 charges including possessing automatic rifles, possessing methamphetamine for supply, and being a member of an organised criminal group.
The 55-year-old also faces a charge of intending to cause grievous bodily harm by trying to have someone break the arms and legs of a man.
He is due back in court in September.
