The woman, whose name is suppressed, made a brief appearance in the High Court in Blenheim this morning, surrounded by supporters.
Submissions were made by the Crown and Defence via audio-visual link, before Justice Simon France remanded the woman to a case review hearing in September.
Justice France, who also spoke via audio visual link, continued name suppression on the basis of the need for a fair trial, because of some information already in the public domain.
Police charged the woman with murder after the younger woman's body was found in a house in Blenheim last month.
