A teenager is in a hospital after a truck drove off a ferry at Waiheke Island and clipped him.

The police said the 17-year-old was standing near a van in Surfdale when he was hit by the truck about 8am.
The Westpac rescue helicopter flew him to Auckland City Hospital.
A hospital spokesperson said the boy was in a serious condition with pelvic injuries.
The police were investigating the incident.
