Police are responding to two crashes in Upper Hutt.
The first, involving two cars, happened near the Whakatiki Street turnoff on State Highway 2.
Four people were injured in the crash, with injuries ranging from critical to moderate.
The road is closed between the Silverstream intersection and Gibbons Street and emergency services are still clearing the road.
The second crash involved a car and a cyclist.
The cyclist received minor injuries.
