Auckland Zoo's elderly hippopotamus has died.

The zoo said 41-year-old Faith had been unwell over the past few days, but her condition deteriorated rapidly yesterday.
She was showing signs of fatal haemorrhagic respiratory disease, a terminal condition, so euthanasia was the only option, the zoo said.
Faith was born at Auckland Zoo in 1975.
