Flights were delayed at Auckland Airport this evening, due to a security incident.
The Aviation Security Service (Avsec) said it had responded to a request from the airport at 7.10pm about a possible security breach.
The incident happened at one of the airport's exit points, at a Jetstar gate.
Avsec said it rescreened passengers and, while there had been a security breach, there was no risk.
The incident delayed nine flights, with a maximum delay of 88 minutes.
Avsec said an investigation would be undertaken with the Civil Aviation Authority to determine if any action was required.
