The new Auckland Flower Show opens on Thursday, with organisers estimating it will attract a third more visitors than the Ellerslie Flower Show, formerly based in Manukau.
Co-ordinator Jenny Pullar says the Auckland show, being held at Alexandra Park, will be different from previous events.
The Ellerslie Flower Show has moved to Christchurch where it will re-open in March.
