A woman was slashed on her cheek in a robbery at a fast-food outlet in Hamilton East.
Police say she was confronted by two men as she arrived to open the KFC store at 8am on Thursday and slashed with a knife by one of them.
They pair then ran off across the road into Steele Park.
Police say the woman was very lucky as the cut was not deep.
