Police say they are now satisfied no offence was committed in relation to a suspected child abduction attempt in Hamilton on Friday.
They had sought witnesses after a man reportedly grabbed the arm of a two-year-old girl outside a childcare centre and tried to walk off with her.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders said they did not believe there was any reason for children or parents in Hamilton to be concerned.
