A five-year-old who was seriously injured after being attacked by a dog last week has been discharged from hospital.
The boy was bitten by the dog near Wairoa, in the eastern North Island.
He suffered a serious facial injury, and was flown from Wairoa Hospital to Hutt Hospital for specialist treatment.
A Hutt Hospital spokesman said he had since been discharged.
