A man remains in a critical condition after being assaulted in Hawke's Bay.
Police said the unidentified man, believed to be in his 40s, was found unconscious this morning and taken to Hawke's Bay Hospital.
He was wearing a long-sleeved red top and dark blue shorts.
Officers are asking anyone who may have seen him in the area yesterday afternoon or evening to contact them.
