A search after two people were reported in the water near Wellington airport has been called off because no one has been reported missing.
A rescue helicopter was deployed and the police were investigating reports of two people in life jackets in the water near Wellington airport.
Police said a person on a flight reported seeing the pair.
However, the search has now been called off.
There have been delays of some flights coming into Wellington airport but they are wind related.
