A man is on the run after escaping from the police at Waikato Hospital yesterday.

Piripi Springhall, 30, was being treated at the hospital after being arrested.
Police said he had run off while in handcuffs and a blue hospital gown.
He was last seen running down Lake Crescent from Ohaupo Road in Hamilton's south, about 5pm.
He is about 176cm tall and of solid build.
Police asked for anyone who had seen him to come forward.
