The trio are facing charges after a ute was stolen in the central city and used in a burglary at a dairy in Templeton.
The ute was then involved in a minor crash in Prebbleton before being spotted by police in Rolleston.
The car hit road spikes near the Rakaia Bridge and stopped a short time later.
Two 15-year-olds and a 16-year-old are due to appear in the Christchurch Youth Court today.
