A man was shot at an Auckland nightclub early this morning, police say.

The man was shot in the leg in Manukau and was taken to hospital in a serious condition but had since improved.
Officers had gone to the club on Cavendish Drive at about 2.30am after reports of people fighting and a person with a gun.
Police are investigating.
