Aucklanders can now have their say on Easter trading hours.
Traditionally places such as petrol stations, dairies, pharmacies and takeaways have been allowed to trade on the day.
A law change last year has given councils the power to decide who should open and when at Easter.
Auckland Council's Mike Sinclair said people could now share their views online.
Mr Sinclair said independent researchers had been commissioned to report back from a sample group of Aucklanders as well.
The results of the research and the online feedback would be presented to the council in August.
It would then decide whether more consultation was needed.
