Wellington City Council has announced it would reopen Ngaio Gorge Road at 4pm today after a new slip closed it again today.

The council said the road was closed in both directions this morning after the new slip.
The gorge - which is a major route for motorists in and out of the city - had been shut since a large slip came down in late July.
It only reopened to one lane of traffic earlier this week.
