Police are seeking witnesses to a fatal crash in Waikino in the Karangahake Gorge last Friday.
The crash between two cars on State Highway 2 happened about nine at night. One person died at the scene.
She was 19-year-old Kelsey Runga of Rotorua.
Thames police would like to hear from anyone who saw the crash or a dog, Stormy, that ran from one of the cars and has not been seen since.
