A head-to-head contest between Green MPs Marama Davidson and Julie Anne Genter has been confirmed as nominations for the party's co-leadership close.

Nominations closed on Friday and the two contenders were confirmed by the party this morning.
The position has been vacant since August, when Metiria Turei resigned following intense scrutiny over her admission of benefit fraud.
Under its constitution, the party has to have a female and a male co-leader.
Julie Anne Genter entered Parliament in 2011, and now holds the position of Minister for Women, outside of Cabinet.
She said as co-leader she would make sure the party was not "pushed around" or "taken for granted" in the Labour-led government.
Marama Davidson became an MP in 2015 and holds portfolios including Auckland issues, building and housing, and disability issues.
When announcing her candidacy she said she wanted to engage with a more diverse group of voters than the party was currently reaching.
Party delegates will have until Saturday 7 April to cast their votes, with the new co-leader announced the next day.
