Auckland commuters have complained of poor service on the city's bus routes due to a union meeting, but Auckland Transport says there has been little disruption.
Buses are off the road from 9.30am until 2pm due to a union meeting. Nearly half of Auckland's bus routes are affected.
The bus services run by NZ Bus, which includes most services in the central city and a few out east, west and on the North Shore, are out.
Some angry passengers took to social media to express their annoyance.
One man left a message on Auckland Transport's Facebook page saying he was left with no option but to take a taxi to a doctor's appointment and then a taxi to work.
A woman also said she was losing faith in public transport because of all the recent disruptions.
Several other bus users vented their frustrations on twitter.
I'm not sure there's been enough publicity for the @AklTransport bus strike today. Walking into uni right now there are still tons of people waiting at bus stops for busses that aren't coming. The electronic bus schedules are misleading people into thinking busses are coming

Someone at my bus stop literally just called an Uber for 3 random other people and herself because no busses are arriving @AklTransport

Just rescued like 20 people on Mt Eden Rd from waiting indefinitely for buses not running due to union meeting.

Some signs on posts might've helped @AklTransport, no one seems to know about it
Auckland Transport said it had staff at major bus stops and big social media campaigns warning of stopped services.
A full list of the affected routes is available on the Auckland Transport website.
