Two trampers stuck in the Tararua Ranges for four days have been airlifted out.

Two men went into the Wairarapa side of the ranges on Saturday, but got into trouble in bad weather.
Both were found safe and well on Monday night, and taken to a Department of Conservation hut, but could not be airlifted out because of poor weather.
Senior Constable Fiona Read said the men were taken out just after first light this morning.
