A man has died in a two-car car crash on State Highway 1 at Otaika, near Whangārei.
Emergency services are at the scene.
In a separate accident this morning, one person has died following a crash involving a car and a logging truck on State Highway 35 north of Gisborne.
The person who died was driving the car.
